How Can I Help My Students Pick an Appropriate ePortfolio Tool?

ePortfolios have been identified by the American Association of Colleges and Universities as the Eleventh High-Impact Practice.  ePortfolios help students carefully curate and share evidence of learning outcomes they have aquired as well as self-reflect on their learning process and set goals for the future. ePortfolios can also provide opportunities for instructors and peers to give formative feedback. Some instructors might request that students use a specific ePortfolio tool, while other might ask students to self-select an ePortfolio tool that aligns with their individual needs and technology use comfort level. The following video presents a high-level overview of the benefits and challenges of several popular digital tools that can be used to create ePortfolios.
